Once Upon a Time…

I was born in Johannesburg, South Africa in December 1978. Yup, that’s some time ago. In the time before mobile phones – thank goodness when I got to spend my holidays on my grandmother’s farm. When holidays were a thing you didn’t have to Instagram!

My journey led me to discover my superpower: telling stories that actually help people and brands grow.

I’ve spent the last decade helping companies connect with their audiences in ways that feel genuine but also drive real results. I’m fascinated by the intersection of creativity and data—finding that sweet spot where authentic storytelling meets business growth.

In a world where AI churns out generic content by the second, I believe the brands that stand out are those brave enough to tell a different story. That’s where I come in.

As Head of Content at Whale (SaaS HR Tech), I’ve engineered remarkable growth:

  • 1900% increase in organic website traffic translating to 40% of all conversions coming from organic content
  • Elevated domain authority from 16 to 68 through strategic SEO and high-quality content
  • Built a newsletter community of 20,000+ subscribers with open rates consistently above 26%

Who inspires me?

Goodness I’m inspired all the time by a range of humans from my parents to my friends, to writers and the women I’ve hosted on my podcast.

It’s for this reason I write, started my podcast and have created my courses on resilience and change.

My mission is to help others write (and when necessary) rewrite their story.
